Hey there.

I hope you're gearing up to celebrate Canada Day, despite its awkward mid-week appearance.

On a personal note, I just received my permanent residency this week—so I'll be spending the day feeling very blessed to be able to stay on these lands. Watch out for a citizenship update in two to four years.

What bloody man is Macbeth?

The thing about Macbeth is that, when you strip away the archaic language and poetry, it's a pretty vicious story: full of murder and betrayal and blood. Lots of blood. "If you're doing a play like Macbeth, you have to own that, and part of that is recognizing how brutal it is,” says director Stephen Drover. "I’m not that terribly attracted to gore or blood or violence, but I am interested in doing the play that we have, which is a very violent one.”
