Hey there. It’s easy to go into a new year with big plans. This is the year you’ll finally get a personal trainer, or go vegetarian, or finish your manuscript, or learn Spanish, or solve the Riemann hypothesis. 

But resolutions almost always fail. And, besides—you’re probably pretty good as you are already. With this sentiment in mind, our first print edition of the year is celebrating the stuff that’s working well.

Look out for it on newsstands and at businesses around the city. We can’t wait to hear what you think!

Master's of Education in Adult Learning and Global Change at UBC

The University of British Columbia offers a fully asynchronous, online Master of Education (MEd) degree in Adult Learning and Global Change (ALGC). In cooperation with universities in South Africa (University of the Western Cape) and Sweden (Linköping University), this program explores adult learning in the context of global change and professional practice.

Courses will benefit those working with adults in formal and informal educational settings, including human resources, business, government, activist organisations, community development, NGOs, healthcare, and professional organisations.

Students proceed through the two-year, 30-credit program as a cohort drawn from three participating institutions, and all courses are asynchronous and online. No thesis required.
