Despite the strong ties between trans and sex worker communities, strip clubs often don’t hire trans and gender-nonconforming performers. “I tried to find anything that would hire trans masc strippers and couldn’t find anything,” says amateur stripper Neon Lights, “which is very sad.” Phoebe Fuller explores how trans strippers are making their own spaces—and fighting for inclusion in the mainstream.
